Hi @gaddahfi ,
Thanks for reaching out and for taking such a thorough look at the plugin.
To address your points directly:
1. Does Forumax have its own SEO configuration panel?
No — and this is intentional by design. Forumax does not ship with a built-in SEO settings panel (no meta title/description fields, no robots control, no structured data UI). Rather than reinventing the wheel, Forumax is built to work alongside your existing SEO plugin of choice (e.g. Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, etc.).
2. Are forum topics and replies indexed by search engines (without converting to blog posts)
Yes, absolutely. Forum topics and replies in Forumax are standard WordPress custom post types (bbp_topic and bbp_reply). This means they have their own public URLs and are crawlable/indexable by search engines out of the box — no conversion to a blog post is required for indexing.
That said, if you’re looking to maximize SEO value from your forum content, we do offer an AI-powered feature (via the Antimanual AI Plugin) that can automatically convert resolved/solved forum topics into structured WordPress blog posts — complete with a problem summary, accepted solution, and key takeaways. This is a great way to extract long-term SEO value from your community’s knowledge base while also keeping the original forum threads intact and indexed.
3. Does it have a dedicated sitemap?
Forumax does not generate its own dedicated sitemap. However, because forum topics and replies are standard WordPress post types, they are automatically picked up by WordPress’s built-in XML sitemap (available since WordPress 5.5) and by any sitemap-capable SEO plugin you have installed (Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, etc.). Those plugins will include your forum posts, topics, and forums in their sitemaps without any extra configuration needed.
If you’re using an SEO plugin and want to make sure forum post types are included in your sitemap, feel free to reach out and we can walk you through the configuration for your specific setup.
Hope this clears things up! Let me know if you have any other questions.
