I use Jetpack and I love it. However, I noticed that when using the Social Widget it creates a full list of icons in the page source (symbol tag), even if they are not used.
It would be better if the code created only the ones needed.

Hi there,

Could you share a screenshot of what exactly do you see? You can use an online tool for that (such as https://snipboard.io/), and add the link to your reply.

You can also directly create a feature request at https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues.

You can find it here: https://imgur.com/a/SWhEles , also by viewing the source code on my website homepage
I only use Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and IG, so don’t really need all those symbols output code. I am sure that this is caused by Jetpack Widget because if removed, these codes go away.

Hm, that shouldn’t be happening.

If you have a GitHub account, would you please report that via https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/new?template=bug_report.md that way you get credit for the report? 🙂

If not, we can take care of that for you.

Sorry for the late reply! You can report it yourself, I have no idea how to do so 🙂
If there’s anything extra needed (like my WP options, etc) let me know here!
