Hi there, I have trouble for setting up the SMTP, can I get support? Actually I’ve already finish the setup and sent the test mail and the test mail work properly. After the setup, I tried to submit the WPform at my website but failed to receive the mail. At the WP dashboard, the error message shown as following:

EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.6.0 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
    Mailer: Other SMTP
SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: user@example.com: Recipient address reserved by RFC 2606
Consider running an email test after fixing it.

  • Hi @devonmak,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email delivery.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.

To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @devonmak,

And just to follow up, can you also please try sending a test email to a valid email address and not a test one like user@example.com?

Please also note that you can get in touch directly with the WP Mail SMTP support forum here.

Thanks, and please feel free to let us know how it goes.

    Hi @devonmak,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation (please just see my post above).

    Thanks!
