    I’ve searched around but can’t find an answer for this.

    I updated a slug on a page and then my link didn’t work with 404. Does it update all the links on my website and if it does how long does it take. Or is that something I have to do manually on every page that link exists?

    You need to create a redirect when you change a slug so that the old link will be redirected to the new link. Otherwise, you’ll get a 404 on the old link.

    If you’re using Yoast SEO Premium, the plugin automatically creates a redirect when you change the slug (the last part of the URL) of a post or page or even when you delete a post or page.
