Slow upload files

    For a challenge on my website people need to upload a lot of images. It is working slowly.

    Things I already did:

    Not making the files appear in media library.
    Use a plugin to not make thumbnails out of each image.

    It helped a bit but costumers still complaining about slow upload times. The upload itself goes fine but then people have to wait a while before they can click send.
