    Hello all,

Thanks for the great plugin. Used it on many sites but came across with this issue when a client complained her site being slow. While optimizing her site, I installed and configured ‘Autoptimize’ and enabled the ‘Also aggregate inline JS?’ feature, as I noticed a significant improvement on GTMetrix and Pingdom when that option is on. What I didn’t realise is that setting somehow disables Slimstat’s visitor recording. So earlier today I disabled that setting to notice a whopping 11 second waiting time for a admin-ajax.php call from Slimstat. This is recorded both on GTMetrix and Pingdom however Pingdom doesn’t count it as part of the page loading time. As I didn’t want to take a risk, I temporarily disabled Slimstat until I find a solution for this.

Has anyone experienced this before and is there anything I can do to reduce that time?

    Many thanks in advance.

Any thoughts on this folks? I had to use a different plugin for the last few days and it’s simply awful! I really wish someone could direct me to right direction to get this issue sorted. Cheers!

You may want to look at the Autoptimize documentation (or reach out to the developer) to see how to properly exclude Slimstat and make it work as expected. Also, consider that background requests DO NOT affect page load times, as they are handled concurrently with other requests for assets and media files. You may want to look at your server logs to see why admin-ajax.php is so slow on your server. That’s not directly related to Slimstat, something else might be affecting load times for that endpoint.

I don’t have a KB with settings per plugin, but if I’m not mistaking excluding SlimStatParams from JS optimization does the trick 🙂
