Slow Loading of Page/Site

I’m launching a new site and in troubleshooting the slow load times, I found that this plugin adds about 5 seconds to the load time of the site. If I disable the plugin, the load time improves.

Any thoughts on what’s wrong? I would love to keep using this plugin, but five seconds is a significant chunk of time.
