Slimstat no data to display

After Slimstat upgrade to latest version as of Feb 2014 all data display panels are empty. I checked the website error log and found a repeated error for the corresponding date and time which read
wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat-js.php not found
and indeed, I can’t find it. Why should Slimstat have installed with no complaints and yet not install one of its own files? The SQL database (and Slimstat’s own data) show some 17,000 records, but apparently it can’t analyze them for lack of this php file.
