Slideshow not working correctly

    Hi.

    I recently updated to the newest version and since then the slideshow on our site won’t work. When I click ‘next’ or ‘back’ on the slideshow, it reloads the same photograph and still says photo 1 of x.

    I’ve tried having a look through the support but couldn’t see much.

    I have deactivated and reactivated to see if that worked but it didn’t.

    Any help would be appreciated? The website is http://www.priorypaving.com and the slideshows are on the path, driveway and patio pages.

    @priorypaving – At a quick glance this could be theme related (since it loads a very old version of jQuery as an example), have you tried temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

    I have not. I am not very experienced in this kind of thing. if I change to a different theme and go back to the existing theme will it work in the same way or will I lose all the info and setting etc.?

    @priorypaving – If the theme is written to current WordPress Best Practices then I would say the chance to lose any specific settings would be very minimal if even possible at all but given I suspect the theme is most likely out of date I cannot say for a fact one way or the other.

    As is, if you are concerned make sure to note all of the theme settings you may have changed from their defaults and then you will have a “manual” backup in case things need to be re-set after your troubleshooting.

    I have no idea about the theme. It was pre-installed by the person who built the site.

    I will do that first before. Does this mean I need to change to a different theme or is there anything else I can try?

    @priorypaving – The idea is to try to pin point where the issue is rooted, then from there we can see if there are any additional troubleshooting / workaround / corrections that can be made.
