@everyone: to patch this quickly, open
wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/includes/class-testimonials-widget.php
and remove /dist in the function scripts()
…and same in the function styles()
Or move the js/css to the dist, as per bower
Thanks for the tip TIV.NET – nice pickup. I created the /dist folder and moved everything into it. I now get an outline where the testimonials should be – but still no text!! Do you have any other suggestions?? Or, more importantly, does @saurabhd have any suggestions?
Cheers,
Aaron.
I had the same frozen slide issue after updating two different test sites. I applied TIV.NET’s fix (thank you!), which got them rotating again, but now a box shadow appears around the testimonial widget. I’m sure I could fix it via CSS, but since these are just test sites, I think I’ll wait till the plugin is fixed before upgrading our live sites.
Is an update to the plugin with a fix for these issues coming soon?
Thank you!
Melissa 🙂
Howdy everyone, I’m really sorry about the upgrade troubles.
This plugin is developed in a Git repository and then carried over to SVN. I’ve checked SVN tags/3.1.0 and noticed that the needed folders weren’t in SVN. I’m releasing 3.1.1 shortly to correct the situation.
Please let me know if there continues to be a problem afterward.
Thanks Michael – seems to be working fine now 🙂
I second wwwolf – thanks Michael, works great!
Yep. It’s back rotating again!
We can mark this resolved.
