The slider takes quite a while to load – about 10-15 seconds to then finally load all images at once. I’ve tried reducing the size of the images and placed the stylesheet in the footer, and set the particular slideshow on the homepage not to wait for all images to load. Slideshow still sits and waits for a while. It takes a bit longer on mobile too. Just the rotating circle for a short while until it finally loads. My client would like the slideshow to load a lot quicker. Is this usually due to JS conflicts or general conflicts with other plugins?

Hi coolhatwebdesign yes this could be due to a conflict with other plugins or perhaps even the theme. Can you deactivate all other plugins and only have this plugin active and test the speed again? You can also install the following plugin to test the over performance.

Thank you – I tried out the P3 plugin to test resource usage for plugins, it didn’t really reveal that much to me, but it’s a good start. I also figured that jquery isn’t being called properly in my theme so I have to check in on that.
