You probably just haven’t applied the right CSS to do this, it can be tricky to identify the right combination. CSS analyzers on some browsers help immensely with this task. For Firefox you will want to install the Firebug extension.
If you are still not getting results, post a link to the page and someone may be able to give you more specific help.
