  • Hi there Pakin,
I’ve never used your specific theme but i can suggest a plugin for you. I’ve used meteor slides and is my preferred method of creating slideshows for WordPress sites.

This is a link to the plugin:

Josh (the author) also has a website providing alot of guidance on how to use the plugin here:

Hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Being a child theme of Twenty Fourteen, the slider in this theme works exactly as the parent theme.

You’d start by tagging your posts with a specific tag i.e. showcase and then use that tag in the Customizer to pull in the posts for the slider.

If you are using the Fourteen Extended plugin you’ll be able to set the slider to auto start either in a slide or fade transition.

    Hope that helps.

i am using the fourteen extended. i am not familiar with the theme nor the parent theme. i have tagged the post “slide” but still have a few questions.

    1) where should the image sit? as a featured image or in the post?
    2) when you say go to the “customizer” where are you exactly referring to? under Appearance>>Customize i am unsure where to specify this tag.

The image should be added as a featured image.

Correct – Appearance>>Customize>>Featured Content is where you’ll need to add the tag and Appearance>>Customize>>Featured Slider Options is where the slider settings are.
