Hang on, did you sign up to Slack with another email?
Yes, I signed up as recomended with an email @chat.wordpress.org.
No, the @bonaldi is connected to a different account. Specifically, the WordPress.org account named “spameur”.
One org account = one slack account. You can’t mix and match, and they cannot be switched around. Stop using multiple accounts. One account, for one person.
I agree with you, that’s why I’m trying to simplify my WP environment.
I have 2 account on both sites wordpress.org and slack.com: spameur and bonaldi.
spameur on slack is now disabled.
I actually use bonaldi on slack.
I’m a contributor for translations in the French Team and want to be identified on both sites with the same @bonaldi, and, whereafter, eventually close spameur on wordpress.org.
The problem is that on my wordpress.org profile, the slack account @lynxys (linked to spameur account on slack) is linked with wordpress.org @bonaldi, and is dead end for visitors.
So, my question is: can you link both @bonaldi ?
No, we can’t change the links around. You’ve cross connected them, and they can’t be reconnected differently.
Pick one account, use that. Simple. Don’t create multiple accounts. Don’t use multiple accounts. Pick one account, forget about the other one entirely.
