I’m (mostly) working on localhost. Xampp or LocalWP. I noticed that I can’t activate Ninja anymore.
The screen ‘Never miss an important update’ gives me two options: Allow & Continue – Skip. I want to skip, because email doesn’t work on localhost.
I can click the Skip button all I want, nothing happens.

On just about every page and folder I get the message: You are just one step away – Complete “Security Ninja” Activation Now. Can’t click it away, and can’t skip the activation form there either.

    Hi Jos,

Thank you for reporting this. I’m testing it locally as well.

LocalWP or XAMPP should not prevent Skip from working, and skipping does not require email. Could you please share your Security Ninja and WordPress versions, any browser console errors after clicking Skip, and whether “Allow & Continue” behaves the same way?

Does this also happen on a completely new local site, or only on existing or copied sites? If possible, please also check whether temporarily disabling other plugins makes any difference.

    Wow, That’s fast!

It was, as you suggested, a plugin conflict. I deactivated the most likely culprits and it works.
Got 91%. (The 5 remaining I can only fix on line. )

    Hi Jos,

Glad that sorted it, and thanks for circling back.

Plugin conflicts on the activation / Skip screen can be a pain, especially on local setups. If you happen to remember which plugin was blocking it, I’d love to know so we can harden against it. No pressure if you don’t.

Thanks again for the clear report.

I’m not 100% sure, but it must be either Kadence Security Basic or Ninjafirewall. I’m almost certain it’s Ninjafirewall. Ninja Security (what’s in a name?) works fine if I deactivate them first, and after activation works fine.
