• Hello,
I have a website that I make news posts often. I discovered that some sites are copying all my posts, without my permission, including text and pictures. They do this automatically, so whatever i post, immediately appears on their website, as if they posted it. They only give me a link, or list me as if my site is their author …

Some of these sites are not even in the US. Actually I get some traffic from them. There are other sites that are like content readers doing this too. One displayed only first few sentences and then gave me link (which is the only way I allowed on my site terms and conditions)… By the way many of my posts are press releases submitted to me by manufacturers, I am not the original author but still they are my posting, which i manually do on my site.

What can or should I do in such a situation? or is it not a big problem? But if they post what I post immediately then may be I will not get credit from Google too…

Is there a way technically to prevent this also? My site is wordpress

  • You can block the ip addresses of those sites using a plugin like WordFence or using server side tools such as IPTables.

what do you mean ip adress of those sites? you mean domain name? i know a persons computer have ip adress but a website has too? how can i see that adress?

Happy to help you understand. 🙂

A web server is just a type of computer. So all of the websites that are auto-posting your content are just connecting to the internet using another computer… Therefore you need to find out the IP Address of that computer. To do so you can use a site like IPInfo to find the sites IP address.

    Hope this helps.
