Same problem here. I’m guessing it has to do with the code reversions mentioned by the author in this topic:
Site is Redirect to Admin-area
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/site-is-redirect-to-admin-area/
I’ve committed a new version today, 2.5.15, but it’s not showing up as latest version here. I don’t know why yet. I’ll try changing the version to 16, then re-committing it.
Thanks, Rogier. In a couple of sites, when I click on “update now,” I get: “Update Failed: Download failed. Not Found.
While you’re fixing things with this update, you might fix this post-activation Dashboard notification (from the English version):
“SSL activated! Don’t forget to change your settings in Google Analytics en Webmaster tools.”
I think you mean “…in Google Analytics in Webmaster Tools.”

Thanks @rogierlankhorst
@aztopdavid – it has nothing to do with a redirect to admin area – the update plugin is not where it says it is. @rogierlankhorst is fixing it.
Thanks again!
Same problem with 2.5.16
Really Simple SSL
Not Found.
That wasn’t my point, @dannette – I meant that in just the last few hours, @rogierlankhorst has been making changes to the plugin due to the problems mentioned in that other topic, and so I thought that could have caused the problems with the update that we have experienced. Or it might just be a coincidence.
The bug in that thread has been patched in 2.5.15, then released, but the release doesn’t show up, though it looks fine here: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/1655168
Apparantly it shows up on the plugin overview, but the file is not there.
I have reached out to the WordPress team, as I can’t figure out what the problem is.
Update error for version 2.5.16
The plugin ask for an update & gives error , please refer to the screenshots below –

Please try again, the WordPress team seems to have fixed it.
Thanks! That seems to have done it.
So, is it safe to use the latest update (2.5.16) or not?
I’m still using 2.5.14
It is recommended to upgrade to 2.5.16. The issue with 2.5.16 was that the WP server were slow to pick up the update, so the updates failed. This was fixes quickly by the WP team.
