Site stats is inaccurate?

I would like to check if you have an alternative to the jetpack site stats plug in for me to use..

I have changed over to wordpress org and am using jetpack for all the applications. I think the site stats and the number of subscribers are inaccurate. I have had readers say they have not receive new posts from my blog and i dont see the subscribers (the new ones) reflected as well…

Is there an alternative/ better solution to this?

In addition, in wordpress com there was an email sent to me everytme i have a new subscriber, now it is silent.. so i dont know about it till one of my friends tell me or if she says she doesnt get email alerts sent to her…
