If you notice reduced site performance after forcing HTTPS, please make sure “Force HTTPS Redirect via HTACCESS” is enabled under WP Encryption → Force HTTPS Redirect. This uses a faster, server-level redirect instead of waiting for the server to generate a response before performing the redirect.

We also recommend disabling the automatic “Enable Mixed Content Fixer” option under WP Encryption → SSL Health and Headers. The Mixed Content Fixer buffers the entire webpage, scans and replaces insecure HTTP URLs, and then outputs the modified page. This can add unnecessary processing overhead and affect page performance.

Instead, use the “Mixed Content Scanner” available within WP Encryption to identify any remaining mixed-content issues. Fix the reported issues on your site permanently, so you can keep the automatic Mixed Content Fixer disabled without needing to process every page request.

P.S., v7.8.8.2 & above recommends htaccess based HTTPS redirect instead of mixed content fixer.
