site creator problem

I have wildcard DNS set-up on my domain and seems to be working. However when I go to the root domain I get my site. But when I went through the signup process for a site from register I clicked on the activation link for in email for the site. It just brought me to the home page. There was no sub site listed in the admin section. Upon further investigation I say the subdomain was going now instead of to my home page to the default site not found page that Cpanel displays when there is a NS issue.

I tried looking at my config and htaccess files but everything seems to be right from what I can tell.

Or if you immediately recognize this issue the help would be greatly appreciated.
