site by site enabled for multisite?

    Wondering when this will be site by site enabled for multisite networks? Requiring network activation effectively prevents ALL sites from either using Gutenberg or not.

    Why not site by site activation instead?

    Coming up in… few hours 🙂

    Hoping to release version 1.4 of Classic Editor plugin very soon, site-by-site activation is not disabled there.

    Hello Andrew, will this upgrade be coming out sometime this week? I would like to do some testing on multisite going back and forth between Gutenberg and classic editors for testing purposes.

    There is some delay while going through the changes of hooks in Gutenberg, sorry.

    You can always download the “development” version or directly from GitHub. Just keep it updated 🙂

    Is this ready yet? I’ve installed Classic Editor on a small, multisite network and would like to give my users the option to choose which editor they want to use.

    Nevermind, I found the setting in the Network > Settings screen. Thanks!
