Single Product Page Thumbnail Slider

Hello

Anybody know how to disable thumbnail slider on single product page? The thumbnail slider is displayed right under the large product photo. Instead of using css to hide the element, is there a way to avoid this slider from loading at all? This can improve page speed from downloading unneccessary thumbnail photos.
