  • I just moved a website with a lot of shares of posts, pages and images to facebook and pintrest. The original site was single install and I moved it to multisite network.

The problem is the shared images to facebook are now blank.

I am not very good with .htaccess or heavy coding. I have seen that there maybe a htaccess code that will allow those images to still be accessed. Even though the file names have changed from /wp-content/uploads/15/3/file.jpg to wp-content/uploads/sites/id#/15/3/file.jpg.

I have looked and looked for answers to this and I cannot find anything very helpful. I thought that strange.

    Thanks,
    Denise

I’m not sure you can do this with code. Any chance that you can manually create a directory that matches that old url filepath and copy the images there?

    On multisite?

I don’t know where to put the directory.

Just FTP in, and go to wp-content/uploads/sites/id#/15/3/ and upload file.jpg.

once you get inside the correct site id, you should be able to copy over your whole year/mo/files set of folders from the stand alone site.
