• Hi All,

    FYI
I am an average to advanced user of wordpress with very low coding knowledge (a little bit of hmtl, css, php and mysql, but absolutely nothing in JavaScript). I often go to the editor of wordpress to manually change a few things on html and css (by trial and error mostly). And I may have messed up my loop.php or other things around it.

    CONTEXT
The plugin WP float forced me to upgrade to wp3.3.1, which I did after backing up.

    THE ISSUE
When I click on any of my categories, instead of showing the posts of the selected category, it shows all the posts together… No matter which category I choose.
In addition, and I don’t know if it is linked, but my image slider, supposedly only showing up on my homepage is now showing on the category page (the one showing all of my posts). All together, regardless on which category I click, I have a page showing up with my slider (it should not) and all the posts (instead of only the selected ones).

Please help!! Thank you in advance.

Very likely, because sliders are also considered posts by WP, this is the reason why my sliders are also showing up with all the posts…

On the other hand the single tag page is working and only displays the posts corresponding to the tag…

And the search result pages are working (displaying only the corresponding posts)

I over wrote the loop.php of my instal with the original loop.php from my (Themeforest.com elegance) theme and it didn’t solve my issue.

I am wondering if there is an issue with the wp upgrade itself… Perhaps the wp 3.3.1 is not compatible with my theme or some of my plugins…

    Anyone has any idea??

Fixed it by restoring my backup… But this still means that I will not be able to upgrade in the future… If anyone has an idea here, this should allow me to keep on upgrading my wordpress… Thanks
