• Hi all,
I know this has been asked before but there doesn’t seem to be an answer, it seems (to me) to be an obvious question but, as yet, unresolved.
Is there a way that I can empower non technical computer users to write posts.
I’ve tried (several times) to guide people to the wordpress admin area for post writing but one look and they switch off.
I used to use Windows Live Writer and thought it ‘perfect’ it always seemed popular with clients and very reliable. This was taken over in 2017 by Open Live Writer and I’ve never been able to get this to function properly.
BlogJet 3 costs $40 per person so is prohibitive.
Each of these tools looks simple and invites people to contribute.
I am award of the email part of the Jetpack plugin and that might be an option but it doesn’t allow authors to be identified or for tags and categories.

Has anyone cracked this problem yet? I’ve spent all morning searching for a solution but seem no closer.

  • Have you given any thought to running BBPress and letting the users create forum posts?

That might be an option and the forum outputs RSS feeds which you could even import as posts using something like the Feed WordPress plugin. Depends on what your goals are but a forum is a great way to add content to a site and boost activity.

And there are a few front end posting plugins you might want to look at. https://accesspressthemes.com/blog/top-5-frontend-post-wordpress-plugin/
