  • SimpleCode for WordPress is a horribly simple plugin for WordPress. It has been successfully tested on versions 1.5.3 and 2.0.2

The plugin takes ordinary markup, and processes it for use within code examples.

SimpleCode for WordPress was inspired by Dan Cederholm’s Simplecode script available on

I got tired of having to go to an external page, and decided it would be nicer to have something similar one click away, so I put this together.

Information and download link is here.

  • Very nice plugin, whooami! Thanks for your hard work!

thanks! it really wasnt that hard once I figured out how the admin area handles form submissions. if anything, it was a lesson well learned for me. Hope someone else finds it as useful as I do.

with the release of 2.1 around the corner, I’ve prepared a version of wp-simplecode thats compatable with WordPress 2.1

I need someone thats currently using this on either 2.0x or 2.1 to contact me if they would please. I found a bug in this and want to verify that its reproducable. I have the fix but need to check the other first.

    email is whoo -(at)-

Or if you want you can catch me on msn messenger via the following email:

whoooo and then put at the end 😛 (thats four oh’s btw) thanks!

welp, I went ahead with the change.

I noticed that line breaks were no longer being applied, so I made one small change to both the 2.0.x and the 2.1.x version to rectify that.
