simple plugin /widget for blog post notification

    I have been looking for a simple wordpress plugin to notify subscribers and registered users when there is a new post on my blog. I came across subsrcibe2 ( seems like too much functionality for my requirement), Post Notification ( last change dated 2008) & follow blog widget ( for this I cannot find more information on downloading – it seems to be a feature of standard WordPress installation but I cannot find it)-
    Any suggestions?
