Simple Counter / Metrics Plug-in

I am looking for a plug-in that I can use to show a simple accrual. For example, I would like to show a count of the number of cumulative miles I have run. I know I could simply type this in, but it would be great to have something that is:

– Design forward
– Easy to quickly update

Any ideas would be really appreciated. I can’t seem to get past traffic counters and count-down clocks.
