Simple and mostly effective, but poor support

I’ve been hopping from one backup solution to another, but couldn’t get one that did simply what I need: scheduled local backups of my database and file system. Online backup does the job with very simple configuration. I have verified my first backup job, and everything is safely stored. Thanks for the great free plugin!

Problem, though: since September 2013, the scheduled backups stopped working, and the plugin author isn’t helping out on the support forums. I found a workaround (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/scheduled-backups-not-working). This doesn’t bode well for the future reliability of the plugin as WP continues to get updated.
