• I have installed the free version of s2member to evaluate whether it is the right product before purchasing the professional version. It installed fine, and I can register, however I can not get the membership signup page to display. I created a wordpress page called “Membership Signup” and set the s2member options page to use that wordpress page shows up with nothing regarding my s2member membership options being displayed. The site is http://www.directflip.com and the membership page should be http://www.directflipcom/membership-signup as recommended in the documentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Have you set a Login Welcome page?

Have you tested for a theme or plugin conflict?

The login and registration pages seem to be working as the firstname, lastname, email, and password fields that should show up are. I can register and login fine, though I do not see a place to explicitly set these pages I installed the plugin and they seems to work once I activated s2member. There may be a conflict with the theme I am using, how do I check for that?

Something I forgot to mention is I do have multi-site installed, not sure if that changes anything. The multi-site settings are as follows:
    – Patch automatically is set to yes
    – Plan to offer is set to membership only
    – Allow open membership is set to yes

To test for a conflict, switch to the 2015 theme and deactivate all your plugins except s2Member. If the problem still persists then, it’s not a conflict. But if everything now works as it should, you have a conflict.

If you do have a conflict, switch back to your original theme and test again. If the problem now recurs, the issue is with the theme. If everything still works fine, switch on each of your plugins one by one and test again until you identify the culprit.

It doesn’t appear to be related to the Classifieds theme, I got the same result with the 2015 theme.

Any other thoughts of what it should be? I won’t be purchasing the pro edition unless I can ensure that the free version works. I don’t have any other plugins working other than the multi-site which it is supposed to work with.

You need to set the Login Welcome page under s2Member -> General Options. How are you registering?

Registration and login seems to be working fine. I can register and login no problem the fields that are supposed to show up do. The membership sign up just doesn’t display.

The first line option of the Login/Registration Design page is:
These settings customize your Standard Login/Registration Pages:

That portion seems to be working. The login welcome page has been set if that is what you are talking about? Please feel free to register and login into my site at http://www.directflip.com. The membership signup page should be at http://www.directflip.com/membership-signup but you will see it is not there.

It seems to be there to me. It even has the word “test” in it. What else are you expecting?

    (@mgrenier7)

Sorry, the page is there…but my membership signup options are not. I am expecting to see the membership levels there for the registered user to choose from. Am I misunderstanding something??

    Am I misunderstanding something??

I think you are. The MOP contains nothing other than what you put there.

All s2Member does is redirect users there if they do not have permission to access a post or page. It’s up to you what you want them to see when they get redirected. Most people put a registration/payment form there, but it’s up to you.

OK, so how do I display the “membership levels” that users can signup for? My issue is that users can register and log in no problem but they can not signup for the membership levels I designated in the “Membership Levels/Lables” sections of “General Options”

You need to generate shortcodes for the PayPal buttons for each different level, and then paste them into the MOP.

OK, so I would like to your stripe instead of paypal. I read that was integrated with the Pro edition. How do I add the stripe payment buttons rather than paypal buttons for my memberships?

Just go to Other Gateways and select the payment processor you would like to use.
