Hi KellyAsh,
If people are receiving the confirmation email (which is sent by MailChimp, not by my plugin) it means that the plugin did its job with success. If people confirm by clicking the link in that email, they will be added to your lists, no matter what.
Most likely, the people are not showing as new subscribers but as imports when viewing your lists. So no worries, people who are already signed up are in fact subscribed to your list. You didn’t lose any.
Viewing new subscribers
When logged in into MailChimp you can view your (new) subscribers by scrolling down a bit to Chimp Chatter or by going to a certain list, clicking stats and making sure the import checkbox at the top right corner of the graph is checked.
Hope that helps!
Hi Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
When I sign into my my MailChimp account I get a dashboard on the left which has options: My Account name, Campaigns, Lists, Reports, Autoresponders, and Search. There is no Chimp Chatter. So I tried navigating to my lists, and selected the list for my site. The only options I see are: Stats, Manage Subscribers, Signup Forms, Import and Settings. When I click on Import there is no checkbox or graphs.
I also tried going to “stats” for the list I have a choice between : Overview, Social Pro and Tweet Trends. When I click overview I do not get any graphs or checkboxes for imports but a bunch of boxes that say “performance, etc. unknown”
I must be missing something – Where should I go to find the import box so I can retrieve those already signed up?
Thanks so much!
~Kelly
Hi Kelly,
Method 1
The Chimp Chatter is on the main page after logging in, beneath the List Growth chart.
Method 2
Another way to watch recent subscribers is to go to Lists (left side of the screen) > click a list name > click Stats > click Overview (in the dropdown that appears). On that Overview page there should be a List Growth graph, with 3 checkboxes in the top right: “Subscribes“, “Imports“, “Existing“. Subscribers through MailChimp for WP will show up as imports.
Method 3
Go to Lists > click on a list name > click Manage subscribers and select “view subscribers” in the dropdown that appears. Then click the “last changed” column twice to have the newest subscribers appear on top.
Hope that helps.
