sidebar removal

    hi all,

    i just installed wordpress on my website and it is up and running fine.
    but on my pages i want to remove/hide the sidebar options like:

    META

    Entries RSS
    Comments RSS
    WordPress.org

    and

    RECENT COMMENTS

    is there any option to remove/hide these bars?
    any help will be highly appreciated.
