That’s a core theme functionality that I would have to change in future versions. at this time, the theme is made to have a sidebar on pages, or you can put a blank text widget however the main page area will still be the same size.
thank you 🙂
Hi, thanks for clarifying.
Even keeping the main page area the same size, how can I get rid of the text/ widgets “Archive” and “meta” on the side bar? I tried deleting all widgets but I still have those two in every page.
Thank you again.
Hello teresam.
May I suggest a temp solution (Hopefully smartcat will offer a fix) that worked for me:
On “appearance” > Widgets > side bar >
Pick up the “text” bat from the available widgets on the left and write something in it.
Once you have i there – the “meta” and “archive” will disappear.
Good luck!
Shirley
Hi Shirley, thanks so much! It worked. Quick question… is there a way of changing the color of the text on the widget? I’m thinking if I change the font color to white the text will not show at all.
Thanks again for your help!
Actually, I just fixed it! I don’t even have to write anything on the “text”. If I leave it blank it will not show at all, and still the “meta” and “archive” disappear.
Thanks again for your help!!
Thanks for the update, teresam! 🙂 Good to know.
Shirley
Thank you artisco for the tip about hiding “meta” and “archive.” They were driving me crazy, but your solution worked great. Oh, and like teresam, I found I didn’t have to put any content in “text.”
Again, a million thanks.
