    Good morning,
I have a problem with custom sidebars. Within individual articles I can put the correct sidebar linked to the category of the article, but if I try to put a specific sidebar on the news archive page of a specific category it doesn’t show it to me, but only shows me the sidebar of default. Is this a small bug or is it not possible to put specific sidebars on each news archive page of different categories? Thank you, Federico

  • Hi Federico

    Thanks for reaching out.

I guess this somehow depends on your theme and its sidebar settings.

It’s maybe helpful to know that category pages are not “normal” pages, but so-called “archive pages”. This is relevant for targeting those pages with Advanced Ads and the corresponding display conditions.

For your example, I rather say the display condition on the ad setup page should look something like this if you want to limit their appearance to the archive category page for the “News” section:

If your question is more about the sidebars in your theme and their widget appearance, I would suggest reaching out to the theme developer.

If you have further questions regarding Advanced Ads, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me again.

    Best regards,
    Henning

    Hi Federico,

Are your ads are now also displaying on archive pages?

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning
