Sidebar not working properly
-
HI!
I am trying to add one page. And on that page i want a sidebar. I do not want the sidebar to come up on any other page. However, when i add the sidebar to that page it only links to the pages i have on that sidebar.
I want the sidebar to be at the left, and having maybe 5-6 navigations to that sidebar.
Once you press some of the navigations the info about that shows up without it changing new window. And once you press something else in that sidebar the new info shows up without opening in new window..So all info loads on the same page, just switching content when choosing..
Hard to explain a thing so easy that many websites is using, hopefully somebody understands my concern.
Best

If you want to control what widgets appear on what pages, use the plugin “widget context”. It’s excellent.
If you want a *different* sidebar on a page, you’ll need to create a new page template and use it for the page(s) in question. https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/page-templates/#creating-custom-page-templates-for-global-use
Hello!
Thanks for the answer.
What i am looking for is something like this, please see,
I want a sidebar to the left, and the one on that page is like i want it. When you click something on the sidebar it just loads the content nicely without changing pages or anything like that. it has a menu for it self that side.
That is what i look for. I know i have managed to do this before without any problems but that is like maybe 4years ago so i don’t really remember how to do it.
Do you know?
It does change pages. The URL changes when you click something on the left. You can use a custom menu widget to do that.
