Sidebar Image – why isn't it working?

    Hi all! I’m new to WordPress – self taught – doing ok.

    I have a few websites that I run. I’m trying to add an image to the sidebar of my consulting website which I run on wordpress.

    The HTML code I am using is as follows but I just can’t get the image to show up.

    <img src=http://www.bgfallensconsulting.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/MySuperSingleMumCOVERsmall.gif/>

    I have uploaded the image into Media, saved as a gif. But it still shows up with the icon with a question mark.

    HELP!
