Showing variations on the

Hi, in my website, not yet public, i would like to have this feature:
Some cover photos only show one product, but if the user open the product is possible to see other variations of that product (colors, sizes…). I would like to show, when the user scrolls by the categories, that some products have x number of extra colors. Some information underneath the cover photo saying ” + x colors” or something similar.
