Showing only one category

    I have a template where, at the front page, I would like to show the last two blog entries of one specific category.

    I know how to list categories and exclude individual ones, but have no clue on how to show a fixed number of last entries from one individual category.

    Could someone help me?

    I would also like to know how to display a single specific content (from a page or post) on that same front page.
