I used the showhide plugin on my localhost which seems to be working. But it is not working in my live site. There has been an update to the plugin 2 days before. Is is possible the update has broken the plugin. I checked the content of the plugin which seems to be the same as in my working localhost.Not sure what is causing this behavior.
Would really appreciate your help.

Tried using the old plugin as well. Didnt work in server but works fine in my localhost.

The showhide shortcode is not being replaced by the div it is supposed to replace with and appears as it is in the post simply like text as shown below:
[showhide type=”post” more_text=”>>>” less_text=”<<<“]
APPLE
[/showhide]

instead of being replaced by div.

Is that a site I can see? Might be a broken JS on your site that is causing it. See https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

There are no javascript errors that are shown in the console though.
