Show specific categories

I am looking to edit the Front Page (Events) to show only some of the current categories.

I need the other categories to exist and be available from Categories list, but not shown on the main page.

EXAMPLE: I have Cat1, Cat2, Cat3 and Cat4. All categories have events listed and locations attached. I only want to show Cat1 and Cat3 on main page. Visitors will see Cat2 and Cat4 only when they click to that specific category..
