Support » Plugin: Event post » Show plugin shortcode in WP Bakery (formerly Visual Composer)

  • Resolved Brian

Hello, plugin works perfectly, however I was not able to add plugin shortcode in WP Bakery (formerly Visual Composer) to display it on my page.

I am using WP Bakery (formerly Visual Composer) “shortcode mapper” feature, pressing on “Map Shortcode” then writing the following shortcodes 1 attempt [events_list future=1 past=0 cat=”null” nb=5] 2 attempt just [events_list]. In both instances, I tried to go with an option ticking on “Include content param into shortcode” or without it. After adding shortcode, I go to Visual Composer adding Content and then Text Block with wysiwyg editor. I tried to place both variant of shortcodes in HTML block of Visual Composer, however non-of them display anything on page.

Please help me how to show plugin on main page. My template supporting VC and using static page for main page.

  • UPDATE: [events_list] start working somehow, but [events_list future=1 past=0 cat=”null” nb=5] has a problem, doesn’t work.

    what does exactly cat="null" mean?

You should try to omit this parameter

Thank you so much! All works now, aren’t you going to update plugin? It would been fantastic if it worked on google maps API.

UPDATE: I am sorry for asking several questions, but in the events list I displayed, it displays wordpress default permalinks not following what actually I have chosen in the wordpress permalinks category. Do you know any fix? After clicking on event it is re-adressing to the normal link. However, displaying on the main page wordpress default permalinks is not good for SEO. Please if you know any solution would be happy.
P.S. if you modernize this plugin and update, this could be very nice.
