    Hi David,

I’m wanting to let my users click on a link at the end of a form where they can read my terms of service document.

The text on the form might go something like:

“I agree with the terms of service

I notice one way others do this is to open up the TOS document in a lightbox so the user doesn’t leave the form page to read it, and reload their fields etc.

Is this something that can be handled with MLA and would you have any recommendations? I ask because it is a different kind of document than an image, and might be quite long and require scrolling etc., and possibly other considerations.

    thanks,

Good to hear from you again, and thanks for the question.

I can’t think of a way that MLA might be of use for this application. It’s possible that one of the many lightbox plugins might support this, but I do not know of a specific answer. This is a PDF-specific plugin I’ve used in the past and like:

    PDF Embedder
    By Lever Technology LLC

They have a free version and a Pro version with additional features. You can contact them with your question and see if they can help.

I regret the news is not better, but I am marking this topic resolved simply because I have answered your question as best I can. I hope you find a solution, and I encourage you to post an update here if you do so others can benefit from your experience. Thanks for you continued interest in MLA.

    Hi David,

I thought about PDF’s too initially.

Decided to put my terms of service document into a regular page instead.

So went with WP Post Popup. It pulls the_content() from any page, post etc. into a modal window.

    thanks,

Thanks for sharing your solution and the link to WP Post Popup. It looks like a good alternative.
