  • Don’t worry I’ve fixed it but in a bit of a quandry.

I had to disabled Jetpack to fix errors on the Post page e.g tags not showing, arrowed DIVs not moving up/down, Yoast SEO not showing or custom fields OR being able to toggle between HTML/TEXT view most of the time.

Intermittent but lots of JS errors in core WP files – another post says all this.

When I de-activated Jetpack to fix this – the shortcodes stopped showing.

I was just about to write a Javascript regex function to throw in the footer to convert any [blah url] in the dom into the right iframe/embed etc until I saw the new feature for “extra” shortcode functionality in Jetpack.

I always thought the shortcode functionality was independent of this plugin as it had worked before Jetpack came out.

However because I had de-activated the plugin I needed to re-connect with my account before re-activating jetpack.

Once I had re-activated all the shortcodes started working again.

Obviously this leaves me with intermittent issues on the post page with no tagging, no SEO and issues with JS errors and the editor but it seems all shortcodes are tied up with Jetpack now = is this right?

    Englightment would be fullfilling 🙂
