Support » Plugin: Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields » shortcodes in woocommerce theme flatsome

  • Resolved medonohue

I can’t get pods shortcodes to work in woocommerce product short description field or in the Flatsome theme’s custom Add HTML After Add to Cart button. The pods templates work perfectly in the Product Sidebar Widget. But the pods fields for individual posts do not. The website is for an artist. I created custom taxonomies for Location and Series. For each product I check of a location or a series. I was able to get pods shortcode to show up in the Add HTML After Add to Cart button, but it does not show the correct location for the individual post. I have tried all of the examples in the pods documentation. Please advise how to get pods shortcodes to work for individual posts.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Depending on how WooCommerce outputs it’s Short Description in the Flatsome theme or in the Add HTML After Add to Cart, it would need to be set to ‘process shortcodes’.

Did you reach out to the theme developer to see why your shortcodes weren’t being processed in Short Description or in their Add HTML After Add to Cart button?

Our shortcodes are ‘context sensitive’ which means they have to be in the ‘loop’ in order to work against the current post.

You unfortunately didn’t provide any examples of the shortcodes you’ve tried, so I can’t help you specifically only with general information.
