I uninstalled the latest version (as of today) of the plugin.

After deactivating the plugin, I noticed shortcodes were not appearing in the text editor, but they did on the published page.

After uninstalling the plugin, the shortcodes still were not appearing in the text editor, but they did on the published page.

    Suggestions?

    THANKS!

  • Hi Justravis,

If you de-install the plugin, then it is entirely removed from your system.

For Shortcodes which you places manually somewhere, you also have to remove them manually again.

Please also check our faq http://www.ultimatelysocial.com/faq and ensure you don’t have any cache plugin installed.

Please let me know if this fixed your issue.

    Thank you,

    John

    Hi John!
The faq does not seem to cover this problem.

Here are the steps I’ve taken:

    1. Uninstalled Ultimate Social Media Icons PLUS.
    2. Uninstalled WPSuperCache.
    3. Checked theme files for shortcodes. Based on the code, the shortcodes are being pulled into the the_content() function.
    4. Searched pages in MySQL for shortcodes in post_content field. The shortcodes were not there.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!!!

Do they also appear in a different browser / after deleting cache?
