    Sprout Invoices version Version 11.1

Attempting to install the free version of the plugin for presentation for a client before they decide to buy. Installation into the proposed site has proven to be difficult at best with document of valid shortcodes elusive or incorrect?

Attempted to press the help button from the WP Admin panel and ended up on a documentation page for Scout help.

Short, other than my rant – is a list of current shortcodes available?

    Hello,

The free version doesn’t require/have shortcodes. Instead there is an invoice and estimate template already designed and included.

Here is some documentation on customizations: http://docs.sproutapps.co/article/38-customizing-templates

    Here’s a free design: https://sproutapps.co/marketplace/slate-free-invoice-estimate-template-design/

Hopefully when directed to a documentation page you were sent here: http://docs.sproutapps.co/collection/1-sprout-invoices

If I can help with anything else please let me know.

    Thank you for your reply.

Think maybe (?) the issue I am encountering with the free version is that the client dashboard page was not created automatically? When I go to create a page – there is no Sprout template available in the drop down list of templates. Should there be?

Again, thank you for your time and assistance.

    Hello,

The client dashboard is a feature for the pro version. Here is the documentation – http://docs.sproutapps.co/article/36-client-dashboards

If/when you purchase the pro version you would simply add a shortcode, you don’t need to select a particular page template.

Understand that. In the free version how is the customer permitted access to the functions of the dashboard? Are they not? Perhaps I misunderstood your original reply regarding templates.

If there are templates available, how are they assigned if not available in the drop down list of pages during page creation?

At this point, before convincing someone to buy, trying to understand, if it possible, for them to see and gain and idea of what they are getting.

    Hello,

The free version doesn’t have a dashboard, so there’s no access to be given.

The links for customizations were given because I had thought you wanted to customize the invoice/estimate templates.

By default there is a single estimate/invoice template, and overriding that template can be done though your theme (this is how the Slate theme works).

If you wanted to create multiple templates, maybe you want to provide a different invoice/estimate template per client, than you can use “Multiple Custom Templates”, which is documented here – http://docs.sproutapps.co/article/38-customizing-templates

Maybe to better help you, you can let me know what you’re trying to do, than I can explain what’s needed.

    Thanks.
