I do not have an active license. I am hoping to purchase one but if I can’t get the shortcodes to work with the free version like they’re supposed to I’m reluctant to purchase.
So I’m asking for help with the free version please to start.

The shortcode [tribe_events] is part of our Pro plugin, so it requires the Pro plugin to be installed and active. It will not work with just the free version.
