[Resolved] Shortcode Button > select media

  • Hello,

i’m using your Google Doc Embedder plugins. It’s really great!

Just one thing I would like to change:

When I click on Shortcode Button, i would like to be able to select with WordPress Media Manager 3.5 my file (.doc, .pdf..)

Then it returns the code [gview file=”LinkToMySelectedFile” save=”1″]

It would be easier to embed WordPress media 🙂 ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Hello TheRaZi,

This feature works in GDE currently (for WP 3.4.x) but not exactly as you describe. It’s being added back to GDE 2.5.5 (due soon) for WordPress 3.5 users.

Instead of using the shortcode button, you will navigate directly to the file in the media library (use the normal “insert media” button). When you click “Insert into Post” instead of getting a link to the file, the shortcode will be inserted for supported files. This is an option you can turn off in GDE Settings.

Note, there is no need to include save="1" in your shortcode unless you’re overriding your default settings. Save yourself some keystrokes and just turn the download link on in GDE Settings (General tab) and leave that part of the shortcode off. 🙂

Yes! This is what I want to do !

    When 2.5.5 we’ll be release ? =D

In the next day or two… just testing it as much as possible first.
