Did you test this with all plugins disabled and a default WordPress theme active?
After disabling everything, also re-save your permalinks and then test again.
Caleb,
Yes disabled all plugins also that was the first step. I forgot to mention that. here are my steps:
While disabled I also deleted the .htacess files
thinking it was bulletproof security (bps) – i contacted them, but also I have bps on other sites using woocommerce no problem, and the checked the rewrites in their .htaccess they are ok nevertheless i disabled and deleted the .htaccess
while doing that i also changed permlinks
still can’t see the shop page i renamed the shop page then to “astore”
did not work either
after i go to woocommerce settings and switch the shop page to another page I can access the shop page but no woocommerce products appear because it is just a regular page
switch woocomm settings back to that page and then 404 error
also deleted all woocomerce pages and used the wizard to recreate
still did not fix it
permelinks to default still gets error
site is http://www.agnetia.net
Update I updated my theme novotostudio flip
the theme support team says there is not problem with woocommerce
i did not try another theme because i dont want to break my site
i did not try another theme because i dont want to break my site
We cannot test with a premium theme nor test it on your behalf. Without testing this, we cannot really advise further.
If you do test another, remember you need to save permalink settings again after switching, otherwise the rewrite rules will remain broken.
MIke, thanks for your reply as an Author..
I understand what you mean about premium themes and testing
i upgraded my theme to one of the latest and still have a problem.. so i think i will try creating a new site and testing the theme there and
narrow it down..
i think from the other discussion, that some of the updates of woocommerce has broke things, but normally the product, or cart pages…not the shop pages..
i could also revert to an earlier version of your plugin, thanks
Switching temporarily to a default WordPress theme should not permanently affect your website. You should be able to switch back and everything will be as is was (if the theme is built correctly).
If you don’t want to do this though, you can always create a staging / replica site and do the testing there.
