Hi! I am launching a brand online with WooCommerce and WooCommerce for Facebook for the first time.

I noticed that there’s a shipping/returns policy on the sidebar: “You can return new and unused items within 30 days.”

I’m not sure if this is being fed from Facebook or WooCommerce. I have to change that policy.

Any ideas where I can find it?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @tamar,

Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!

According to Facebook’s Business Help Center, “You must accept returns for new or unused items within at least 30 days of when the order was delivered. 30 days is the default return window that automatically applies to all items.” There are a few exceptions listed on this page, though, so you could see if your items fall under one of the excepted categories:

Would you please take a look and see if that works for you? If not, can I get you to please open up a support request with us here so we can investigate this further for you?

    Thanks Marcus!

So yes, I’m in one of the category exceptions. How do I change this?

    Hi @tamar,

Great news! I’m afraid I likely don’t have the same Commerce Manager setup as you, so I’ll be a little blind in my recommendation here. According to their documentation, though, you’ll want to:

    1. Go to Settings in Commerce Manager.
    2. Find Returns and click Manage Return Settings.
    3. Click Edit and set your return windows as needed.
    4. Include additional return policy information. For example, you can tell buyers to return items to a specific address and with the tags still attached. We encourage buyers to return items in the same condition and original packaging.

Would you please give that a try and see if that works for you?

    Cheers,

Oh duh, it was right there.

But I didn’t have Commerce Manager set up already since Facebook for WooCommerce doesn’t seem to rely on it… so now I have two items in a live catalog and 0 products in the catalog I just created.

    Hey @tamar,

You are correct that it is not necessary for Facebook for WooCommerce. So that we can have a more detailed discussion within the context of your site specifically, can I get you to please open up a support request with us here?
